I’ve launched an AI SaaS for e-commerce product photography, but can’t figure out customer acquisition. What am I doing
Hey everyone,
I’m building Fluxx.work, an AI-powered platform that helps e-commerce brands create professional product photoshoots, AI model shots, UGC-style videos, and ad creatives without expensive photographers, studios, or production teams.
The idea is simple: upload a regular product photo and turn it into professional marketing content in minutes.
The product is live, but I’m struggling with the hardest part: getting customers to actually use it and pay for it.
I’ve tried running both Google Ads and Meta Ads, but honestly, nothing seems to be working for me right now. I haven’t been able to find a reliable way to acquire paying customers, and I’m trying to understand what I’m doing wrong.
I’m currently targeting e-commerce brands, particularly clothing and jewellery businesses. I believe the problem is real—professional product photography is expensive, and brands need a constant supply of content for their websites, social media, and ads.
But having a product that solves a problem and getting people to pay for it seem to be two very different things.
I'm wondering whether the issue is my positioning, the target audience, the product itself, or simply my distribution strategy.
I'd love some honest advice from founders who have been through this stage.
Should I stop running paid ads for now and focus entirely on cold outreach?
Is it better to focus on one niche, like jewellery brands, instead of targeting e-commerce businesses broadly?
How do you get your first 50–100 paying customers for a SaaS product when you don't have a big audience or marketing budget?
For those who have tried Google and Meta Ads, how did you figure out whether the problem was the ads, the landing page, or the product?
If you were in my position, what would you do differently over the next 30 days?
I'm not looking for generic advice like “keep experimenting” or “build in public.” I'd genuinely appreciate specific strategies, experiments, or lessons from founders who have faced a similar challenge.

I'm open to blunt feedback. At this point, I'd rather discover what's wrong with my approach than keep spending money on channels that aren't working.
Thanks!
